I bought my RX8 about six months ago. I ran great up until a week ago. My car sat for almost two weeks because I bought a work truck to drive to keep miles off of RX8. I decided to drive it one morning to work and it wouldn't start. It would crank but wouldnt catch. It started to drain battery so placed it on charger and even tried jumping it. I even tried spraying starter fluid in the air intake. Im not sure if it is getting a spark or not,or if it is a security thing since the car sat so long without being started. Any info is gteatly appreciated. I dont have enough chedder for mechanic, so trying to fix myself.

 

Placing a charger on it will not necessarily make it start. The charger needs to charge the battery.

Charge it for a few hours.

if it won't start you flooded it.
