I have an 05 RX8 and it was running fine, next morning get up and it wont start and it sounds as though the battery died., so after damn near a week, I got off my lazy butt and picked up a battery. So now it turns over but it sounds like its not getting any spark. I have already replaced spark plugs a month earlier so I know its not that, not sure what it would sound like if it were flooded but Im assuming probably the same thing. I just dont know if it could be that b/c its been sitting a week or so... any ideas?

 

It's probably flooded. Search the site for deflooding procedures. Do you have an automatic or manual transmission?

 

Have u try jump start yet? Maybe there not enough juice in the new battery...

 

Ill try the two suggestions and then and will let you know, I was thinking blown fuse but I havent tried anything else yet...

 

OK so I went home, did procedures for flood issue and it worked. Apparently when the battery died and I was trying to start it and it wouldnt start, it flooded, SOOOOO thank you all for your ideas. I appreciate it.

seprate note, I babied my car, and after looking on this forum I read where everyone was red lining thier cars periodically so I did it too, not only was it a blast, my car SEEMED to run even smoother this morning, could be my imagination, but hell, it isnt going to hurt the car to do it to often, but it did put a big smile on my face.
