car turns over but shuts back off
i need help...first time rotary owner. i had my 8 on the express way going about 70mph...cnt remember what gear i was in and i had it on cruise control when i started losing speed..so i exited the expressway and the car shut off on the first light. i parked it and got out and i smelled a burning kind of odor....the oil was extremely low so i just added new oil altogether..i have no clue what the problem is or where to start looking...any help would be appreciated

So many possibilities and not enough info...
How many miles are on the car?
When were the spark plugs and coils last changed out (if ever)?
Do you have a CEL (flashing or solid) at any point?
All we have to go with so far is car shutting off, low oil, and burning smell.
When you added the oil did the problem disappear?
Did the engine sound different?
Can you describe the burning smell?
Did it smell like rotten eggs, clutch, fluid, plastic burning?
With a little more info we might be able to narrow it down better.

ok it has 70k miles i just changed the plugs...CEL is on and flashes occasionally....i started it today and a shitload of smoke came out the tailpipes...looked like it was on fire and smelled like it...does it every time i crank the car now

Is this the first time you have added oil to your engine? How many miles have you put on it and how long have you had it? When you said "added new oil altogether" do you mean you added more then one Qt?

the smoke was whit i put 1000 miles on it and have had it little over 2 months...i changed the oil rather than just adding oil to it..the smoke smells like fuel....after the smoke comes out and i turn the car off the smoke continues to come out a little
