car turned off

car turned off

Well first thing is, i have a 08 RX8 with about 9500 miles. i was at a light and my car died. I was like this is really weird this car is new i started it back up and it was fine. Any of you guys can help me solve this problem?

Please give us more info on your car, did you buy it new, transmission, service done, oil consumption, type of driving the car gets(short trips, easy or red lined often). Have you noticed any thing unusual or problems?

Yes sir! brand new :] just got an oil change recently last week to be exact. Well when i go through gears it sometimes whines like a super charger, well when its cold. and latly i'm not exactly sure yet but my clutch sanked in a little more then it should the other day. and it gets red lined every day for sure. i always check my oil every 2 full tanks of gas used. and i rarley cruise my car, im all over the place lol

My clutch sanked in again today i had to pump the pedal to get it back up where it should be >.< whats gong on!!

Bring to dealer and get these problems looked at(documented) even if they can't duplicate. Intermittent problems are harder to find, but your still on full warranty.

Ok im going after school tommrow to get these checked out. The service manager told me the clutch aren't warrentied :[

They are talking about the clutch disk. The clutch pedal and hydraulics are covered.

Oh ok. well i went today and they can't find the problem, checked my ECU can't find why the car turned off. as for the clutch they said i could of heated it to much while driving, thats why it slipping.

Ok if it acts up again make a note of what and when and bring it back to them. They have to fix it, if you bring it back make sure they understand thats it still doing the same thing wrong.

ok i will, if it happens again. as for the transmission no this is my third car. i had a 90 Miata 5 spd and a 08 Subaru imprezza wrx 5spd, the miata was sold. and the Wrx i gave it back to my dad. th miata was fun to drive. and the wrx was crazy madness with its turbo

ok so the same thing happened to my car, its a auto and ill be redlining it and when i get to a light it turns off, its a 05' with 48,000 miles and the 4th new engine has 1,100 miles on it. i checked the oil and its fine, idk what the problem is...

Hmm something like this happened to mine.. I left it outside and the temperature was 44 degree and when i got in the pedal sank to the floor like there was air in the lines.. after a couple of pumps it went back to being stiff...
then the car turned off at a red light.. I mean it runs strong but i think its because of the colder weather.

OK my clutch pedal is sinking again and again at least 1 time a day is it the clutch master cylinder? internal leak in it?
