IL Car turn off while on neutral

I have a Rx8 2004 manual transmission.

A couple of weeks ago I came out of work got on my car turned it on and started talking on the phone. I was low on gas ( about 1/4). Next thing you know the car turned off and never turn back on. had to get the car toll to my house. I bought three gallons of gas and put it on the car and the car turn on. So i figure the car was low and gas. yesterday was really hot around 85 degrees, I was in the highway there was traffic and the car turn of on me while it was on neutral. I had to push it to the side wait about 20 minutes and then it finally turn on. This time i wasn't low on gas ( about 1/2 of tank). My question is why is my car turning off while been ideal on neutral ?

Sounds like your fuel pump is failing. Do you have trouble starting the car when it's hot any time besides these? If so, then it could be compression loss. If it starts right up when hot the rest of the time, it's your fuel pump

Yes I had times were I would have to wait a few minutes before I was able to turn it back, even now i still hace hard tkme turning the car on while is hot. I took it to a mazda dealer and had a compression test and it came out perfect. This was back in January. I bought the car last year in July and is a used car. I was thinking I might need to get a complete ignition system on it, coils, wireds, plugs.
