Some days my 04 6 speed will smell "hot" sitting at lights or when I park the car. Almost like a hot plastic smell... This started at about 4000 miles..
The car runs perfect !!!

Anyone else? Any answers... I will ask the dealer when I get my recall work done.

 

You may have gotten some plastic road debris cooking somewhere along your exhaust system. I fried a piece of plastic tarp to my muffler, and it smelled for six weeks.
You might also check to make sure your oil filler cap is securely tightened. You may be smelling the oil cooking in your coolers.
