There you go

Ahh you didn't mention that you replaced the MAF in your other thread. Do you have any mods? How many miles on your engine?

I'm gonna go on a whim and say that you need to reset the ecu (unplug the battery for 5 min). Then, drive your car for approx 3-6 drive cycles (may take a few days). This will allow your ecu to relearn the fuel trims (cause by replacing your MAF sensor).

Thanks Man, and i just put the motor back in last night from a rebuild so no miles...just backouted of the garage so smoke didnt chock me out in the garage from the vasline in the motor. And i also cannot drive anywhere because if i let off of the gas it will drop off under 1k rpm and stall out ( only when the car has reached normal temp) Thats the weird part???

I have tired all the resest that you can do. Ive also had my friend from autozone bring one of those computers over and clear it. When i have the key in the on position it blinks 7 times then one fast blink then stays on? this means overheating??? Im thinking (by reading other post the cat could be clogged and this is not letting the car idle....also it wont start again after the car gets normal temp and stalls out if i dont keep on the gas to keep it alive????

check out the misfire thread, test all the components listed, replace as necessary.

My money is on swapped plug wires. Since the engine was just replaced seems likely enough.

I like how people have no idea how the car works and decided to "I'm going to rebuild and/or install the engine myself!"

and this is what will usually happen ---- everything is fuked

no offense but there is no way we can answer ur question, we have no idea what you did, we dunno if u crack/broke some wires in the process, it can happen without stripping the plastic on the outside, too many possibilities.

Yes i did the rebuild myself and im 19 years old...And whoever the hell you are that just made that comment i fixed it again YET alone by myself it was a clogged cat too much backpressure at the front of the cat, thats why it blew seals in the motor..Thank you but im more than sure i know a little bit more than you when it comes to these cars Other than that shut that **** up! And to RX8soldier thank you for your advise by the way...

My money is (as usual) on a vacuum leak.

Easy to miss a line or crack the UIM, etc.

If you can get someone to hold the engine at 1500 revs, then spray shots of brake cleaner around the bay to find a leak....

Check the nipple under+behind the throttle body.
