A/C issue, no cold air

Alright since summer is nearly at full swing, I'm trying to fix my Ac. I have tried some things and it didn't work. I want to see if anyone can help me before I take it to a shop.

Things I tried:
- recharging the Ac freon, but it read full (used a refill kit w/ gauge from store)
- redid the solder on the control board (was a thread about bad solder on it)
- checked the increments on the lcd and it goes from 1-16 perfectly
- tried to reset holding defrost and intake selector for 3 sec etc while on ACC & ON. Did nothing.

More detail:
2004 with 70k miles
No leak is noticeable
I am missing my undertray
Ac cold line is wrapped with heat reflector material
Blow air but feels like outside temp air

Suggestions?

either A/C amplifer (usually it will cycle on/off constantly) or compressor would be my guess. You covered all the other possiblities...

You really need to verify the a/c system charge in the system with a set of a/c gauges before throwing parts/guessing.

Do you have a link or details on that a/c kit with the gauge? Does it install on the low (blue ****) side? What was the pressure reading with the vehicle off?

I used one of those Ez Chill deals from Oreillys found here:
http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/de...1783&ppt=C0050

Yes, i used the low port and used as directed. It read full with car on and ac on. I did not try to get a reading with the car off. I could check tomorrow.

Ok, we are going to assume that gauge is accurate then.

Next step I would do is see if the compressor clutch is cycling/engaging at all with the car running and your a/c buttons on. From your posts, it doesn't sound like it at all.

I would then find the low pressure cut off switch, disconnect it, then jumper the pins on the harness together. Sorry don't have a manual in front of me right now...but does the compressor come on now?
