A/C center driver side vent blows warmer than others

OK, I really thought I'd read about this on this forum before, but try as I might, I could not find it through the search function. So, please forgive me if it's been brought up before.

My A/C is basically OK, except when the car is idling at a stoplight. But overall it works well enough to keep me cool for the most part. However, for whatever reason, the air that comes out of my left center vent is A LOT warmer than the air that comes out of the rest of the vents in the car. It also *seems* like the force of the air blowing out is less from that vent than the others.

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it normal? I had the A/C amp replaced last summer. I am not sure if this has been happening from the start or if it just started over the last few months. Does anyone know what could be done to fix it? I can live with it if a fix involves tearing the car apart because I don't want to introduce other problems/rattles that might result. But if it's a simple fix, it would be nice to get it taken care of.

Thanks!

Wow. So no one else has experienced this or knows anything about it?

I've noticed the same thing with the center vents in my 8. The one on the right (the passenger side) seems to blow with more force than the one on the driver's side. It also seems to be a little colder. That being said, though, it is only marginally so in both areas. I really don't notice it that much. In order to "fix" this inequality, you could put in some sort of diverter in the vent system that could aim more air to the driver's center vent. I don't know how to do it, but "diversion" is something that can be done with most HVAC systems
I've posted numerous times on the A/C in this car. Where I live in Florida, the A/C is not very effective when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees (May thru September). I have had the amplifier replaced and I've wrapped the A/C line with insulation, both of which offered only little improvement. My hopes now rest on the "P" flash, which will move the cutoff point for the compressor to 7500 rpm from the current 5000 rpm. Not that I drive alot above 5000 rpm, but every little bit helps. I'm also teaching myself to leave the car in gear as I slow down, rather than engaging the clutch and coasting. Coasting lowers the engine rpm to idle speed, and as you mentioned the A/C doesn't cool very well at idle speed. I also now try to idle at 1500 rpm while sitting at a light, and find the air blows much colder than at the 850 rpm idle speed.
By the way, the A/C in my house crapped out over the 4th of July weekend. We spent as much time as we could in my wife's Lexus. Now that's a cold A/C!

Thanks for the info JonsToy. At least I know I'm not the only one.

I'm sorry about your A/C in your house. Eeek! Ours died a few years ago right in the middle of summer, too. It's a terrible thing. I don't know how people managed without A/C before...
