My pads on the front left are clanking against the rotor everytime I hit a bump and it's driving me nuts. I sound like an old rusty truck about to fall apart. Needless to say, it's a little embarassing. Of course, the clanking goes away when I'm on the brakes, but I can't ride the brakes everywhere. Does anyone have a quick cure for this? My cure right now is turning the radio up

 

Sounds like the brake pad retaining clips fell out, get some new ones and the noise will stop.
