Bad PCM flash ? what?!
Took my 8 to dealer yesterday because it was jerking while driving almost like
A bad trany or a clogged fuel filter would do
the service tech tells me that their pcm flashing machine had a corrupt pcm flash file
has any body heard of this or have had this problem?

A "corrupt" file sound unlikely - engine control upgrade mechanisms usually include checksums to assure file integrity and a verification that the upload procedure was performed correctly.
There is a discussion about problems with a recent software version though, altough I can't imagine it to have such strong effects like you describe. After all, the update has certainly undergone testing, even if other problems have surfaced later.
I had mine reflashed due to a flodding incident this week (no idea from which to which version to be honest, probably "L" to "M") and so far the car feels slightly torquier.
