Bad Cat? Bad Engine? Both?

So I have been having probs with my 05, rough idle, stalling, loss of power. When the engine is cold seems to run ok after I get it started. When the engine is operating temp engine shakes, and when I step down the peddle fully it revs up high but doesnt change gears smoothly makes very loud sound before it changes gears(auto). The temp gage looks normal but its running very hot.

Does this sound like a prob with my engine or the cat? I dont see any CEL on.

change your air filter, clean your MAF and eccentric shaft sensors. Test your ignition coils and spark plug wires.
Check your transmission fluid, check your motor mounts for any damage.
Last, inspect your cat converter to see if it glows red after a drive. If not, pull down the front and look inside to visually inspect
