Arg...I'm conflicted.
Well, I took my car in last week to get the recall done and my oil changed. It's come back feeling faster Probably because of the pcm reset.
BUT...the shifter itself feels different. It feels like it has a longer lever arm or something. Although the tranny makes the shifts more smoothly, the actual shifter feels notchier. Second gear in particular feels especially different. I'm having a hard time explaining HOW it feels. And why it feels different. I just know it does.
Because of this (not knowing how to explain), I'm conflicted whether I should bring it in to the dealer again. I'm afraid that they are just going to make it worse. Think I should bring it in? What could they have possibly done that would make it feel this way? I'm not sure if it was the recall or the oil change.
Oh, and a last word about the oil change. I have a sticker on my windshield that says "Quaker State Synthetic 5W-20" But the service invoice says:
5W-20-QT SAE 5W-20 SUP PR MTR: 4 qts. @ $2.85/qt. Based on this price (we are talking dealership prices here), I am thinking perhaps it is regular oil after all, and the sticker is wrong. Does the above invoice tell me something I'm missing?
Thanks for the advice!

I think there's a plastic component that's part of the shifter that gets inspected for heat damage and replaced if necessary during the recall. Maybe that could explain the difference in feel.

That krayzie Mexican
I have to say, I was a group 1 car, and after the flash my car feels, hard to explain but different, like it is so smooth and seems to be a lot faster, and like he said my shifter feels more, like mechanical, I am in love all over again after this recall.
