Very happy owner of a 2009 GT Series2. Have the factory key fob thing, which is pretty cool. I enjoy the proximity detection for Ignition and Entry. However, when I turn on the car and get out (I like the warm the car up) then shut the door there is a very loud, annoying CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP. If I open the trunk and then shut it, again CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP CHIRP. I guess this is to tell me that the car is running and the key fob is not within proximity of the passenger cabin?? Whatever, its EXTREMELY annoying. Is there any way in the world to disable this worthless annoyance in my life?

I did search the forums first and could not find anything related.

 

You could listen while someone sets it off and try to find the source of the noise and disconnect it.
