FL abs/tcs light... no cel... and no amount of searching has helped me

before you tell me to search, i havent found anything relating to my issue with this. i have a 04 6speed and no reason to believe the ABS/TCS system has gone bad, just a confused car lol

well awhile ago my HID leveling unit (behind the glove box) shorted out and almost caught fire. i disconnected it and since the actual unit itself as well as the harness connector got messed up, i kept it unplugged. since then my ABS light and TCS light has been steady on. i went through all my fuses and replaced the blown ones, but it only fixed this for a short time. i havent got LED bulbs or anything like that, and im not entirely sure if electical things like that can really cause this problems. today i had my battery out to put dielectric grease on my steering box connections, and when i put the battery back my CEL was gone. It was only on for the cat and airbox which i deleted.. so im wondering what could it be thats causing these lights to be on. i like being able to turn off the dsc and take a corner sideways but i cant turn it off now, and i would like to know my abs is there when i need it... any ideas on what i should be checking for or if the HID level unit will cause this?

Did you disconnect the battery, as well, when you did that above?

If so, just steer fully left and right once and your ABS and TCS light should be gone.
You need to do this every time after you reconnected the battery.
