hey guys I'm getting a new motor soon and I'm thinking about a 20b. How much would I realistically be looking at spending to get this done. Thanks guys

I've seen numbers from 7500 for a DIY to 25k+ for a shop job

I'm seriously considering doing one at the moment, and so far I priced the parts needed at about 7k, but I'm sure there's more stuff I'm just not thinking of yet. I want to hear from someone who has done this, especially about how they addressed mounting issues and the wiring/ electronics.

A 20b in any swap will hit a good penny. Don't forget the rx8 tranny suck behind a pos 2 rotor at 170rwhp.
Counter in 20b you will have to rebuild it, I don't care in how good off a condition it is.
Counter in a good trans a new custom drive shaft..
Computer+ fuel system+ fab etc.. and that's doing work yourself
20k/30k+ is not out the question.

Proceed at your own risk ...
