holy crap man, calm down, you have no idea what he ment by sig, yet you are jumping to conclusions, like a disgruntled gf seeing her bf talking to girl cashier at a grocery store... thinking hes cheating...

I know, but i've read the thread, I understand that you had some issues with the accident but remember this.. one day you have to forget all this happened, so whats the point adding more stress on yoru self with anger, knowing you will one day forget about it.. I use that method all the time, why get so upset when I just have to get over it eventually,

nah man, its just how it is, think of the positive to what happen, you can at least drive another car, `and not ended up crippled, thats what you should take from the accident.. or better yet you are alive to drive again... ``a car is a car and it will be replaced, your insurance will go down `eventually and you will look back, like it was nothing.. so don't worry man all will be good.

It's all in the engine internals. I have had 4 engines in my car. The first three engines I got the 12-13 mpg and they ended up being replaced. This present engine, rebuilt by Mazda rebuild facility, is strong and I can get 20 mpg if I slow down on the highway.

Guys just chill and quit getting butt hurt.

im just still trying to wrap my head around everything, i mean... in about 10 minutes, all of this will have happened in 24 hrs! and my dad is right.. im being materialistic with this car. but, it didnt deserve what happened to it.. i treated it as a human, and seeing her down, makes me sad

What i find entertaining Al is that people still buy cheap rx8s thinking to get the deal of their life. Then, when they realize they bought a worn out car, they start bitching about what kind of crappy mileage they get.
Is it hard to realise that it is their fault only? The fun part begins when they start modifying their cars while still complaining about the MPG...
Mileage goes down but the plugs and coils are fine? Change your engine. Problem solved. It really has so little variables...ignition, catalyzer, maf. 2 are visual inspections (maf\cat), the other one only requires a look at the odometer...

While i'm relatively new to the forums i really don't like this even newer generation that only complains about non existing problems and barely helps improving anything.

/endrant

I can easily get past the 24mpg mark... i never do though btw.

You love it yet you already stated elsewhere that you were looking into exhausts and this and that instead of getting a good engine.
That's not love, that's ignoring an issue hence hating your poor car.

THAT ENGINE WAS FANTASTIC. THINK ABOUT IT

original engine from 2004, bought it with 82k miles, put 5k "harsh", as in, driving it out, miles onto it, and thats impressive, as they were either good or bad from back then. Thats my MAJOR disappointment from this, is that that motor alone is awesome. Sure, its a 4 port, but it worked damnit. I drove it, not you, so you wouldn't know.

And the complete front end is good. I just saw it. I wont be surprised if they total it. SIGH

stop in go stop in go. nothing wrong with the engine at all. compared to all the problems i've heard from others.. bogging down coming to a stop.. stuff like that. mine didnt do that ever, except a misfire, whatever..
