Was -11 last night, car clicks but won't start (no exhaust fumes)
It was the coldest it has been since I bought the car and this morning it won't start. It's a 2007 with 21k miles. When I turn the key I just hear a clicking (ignition?) but there is not even a slight engine whine. All the "it's flooded" threads seem to describe that the engine almost starts but in my case nothing is happening except for the click. If I leave the key half turned, all the lights and everything work so I'm tempted to rule out the battery.
Any ideas?
I'd rather not have it towed to the dealer but it should be covered under their 90 safety guarantee.

I am having the same problems as well. I live in London, Canada. It is -20 for several days now. It was running fine the last time I drove it and I couldn't think of no reason that it is flooded. I am thinking of buying those battery boosters first. Hopefully when it works, I will take it to the dealership.

Before you run out chasing remediation ideas, suggest we look a little harder at the issue itself. In the original post there is reference to both "clicking" and "click". Problems associated with multiple clicks + no start can be different than problems associated with single click + no start.

Thanks for all the input guys. With all these flooding threads it was helpful to get focused on the battery instead of something more headache inducing.
