I have a 09 Sport which has the variable red zones on the tach. These allow different redlines as they turn off due to engine heat. The car is not broken in yet so I haven't tested yet but my last zone never goes off which indicates I don't have access to max redline. Anyone else have a 09 and experienced this problem? I will wait for some more breakin miles and then off to the dealer if redline is blocked with the last red zone on.

 

i would take it to the dealer had mine a week and works fine. if you do your own oil change you must take the aluminum pan off to get to the filter.

 

I've got an 09 R3, had it about a week and a half now and first it was fine, but now it's doing the same thing where the last red zone isn't going away. Might take it in and have it looked at though.

Where do you live? It's been exceptionally cold in a few parts of the US recently and it's possible the car just isn't getting up to temp?

 

The last zone doesn't go away. One will always stick around (between 9-10)
