Yes, another dyno post.

Welp, went to the dyno day we had over here. Waited a long *** time and I got there somewhat early, but finally got my car on the dyno. Sadly the printer was busted after the first 5-6 runs so I couldnt get a prinout today, but I'll be picking it up next week as well as a disk with the dyno data with the O2 sensor info. I'll make that available to whoever wants to take a look at it. But anyways, until I get my data and can show it, my runs where pretty consistent.

End of the day my car pulled 189.4. Didnt get to see the torque too well because of the crowd, but I do know it was over 140. how much over, I'll tell ya next weekend.

And BTW, this was with 89 octane gas in the car. Kinda warm day. Was about 82 or so.

Guys also wanted to see what the car did on the top end so what the hell. Hit 175 at 9000RPM in 6th. So much for a 148 limiter eh? :D

Guess I got one of the lucky freak cars that are doing ok.

From what we have seen thus far, your car posted fairly well. I take it that is was stock. How many miles?

When did you purchase your car? Is it one of the later models? How many miles are you getting out of a gallon on your car?

I cant say the exact date since I dont remember :D

But it was either late june, early july. Didnt pre-order, just got lucky my dealer had one coming in like I wanted. Average tank with fun driving, AC most of the time half city half HW is about 18.5. Lotsa fun driving and traffic drops it to about 16, pure HW at 70MPH gives 26.7

Vin is in the 6XXX range

That's pretty much in the pre-order range. The vin would fall into the early ones off the first couple boats.

As far as the 148 limit...
Everything I heard was that it was not a ECU controlled limit, but rather a power vs wind resistance limitation. No wonder you could hit 175 MPH on a dyno with no wind resistance

Oh, I understand the speed limitations regarding wind resistance. I just had understood there was a limiter. I had already seen posts of people doing the same on other dyno's and seeing higher speed and should have put 2 and 2 together, but what can I say. Brain fart.

Was still fun. There was some awesome Supra's there. A black one that just gleemed. Perfect shape, put down something stupid like 390HP

Funniest was the civic that had a engine that stock was something silly like 85HP, and he had a turbo hanging off the front of it and hit 114HP. Last run had him overheating too. It was just funny to see.

390rwhp is pretty basic for a supra. You can get that power with just basic bolt ons. My friends supra dynoed at 805 to the ground before he sold it.

Yeah but this thing was clean. Thats what impressed me about it. There wasnt a single mark on the paint, leather etc. Engine was super clean and well done. Just a very nice car overall. There was a mustang there putting down 600, but it wasnt hardly as pretty to look at :D
