Where is the torque Sensor?

Sensor.....
The torque sensor is an integral part of the power steering motor, cannot be replaced without a new motor.
The power steering motor sits on the steering rack (where else would it be?)
Note - if you are getting sensor/motor faults, and your car is an early model (built 2003/early 2004) you may just need the updated wiring harness for the motor. Even trained Mazda techs don't know about the upgrade, but Mazda Head Office should - or just ask this forum!
Been there, T-shirt aquired.
Old thread about this is entitled "Steering, breaks....."

Cord.....
I don't have an "official" name for it, but it is refered to as the "EPS Short Cord N-05". You want the revised version.
It is on page 121 in the electrical section of the workshop manual.
Good luck, not easy maintaining an '8 without Mazda support.
