Where can I jack up the car? (rail's gone...)

So I just bought the 8, and today I was about to change the brake pad for my rear passenger side wheel, and I found the rail is gone. You can see in the picture. It is hard to see that the jacking point is gone, but it is bent pretty bad...with much of it gone. I think she drift into curb or something like that.

So without that jacking point, where can I jack up the car with the scissor jack?

btw the rail is straight in front the nook to the right, but it is probably not a good idea to jack there right? I don't even know if I can since the side skirt is block the space by the rail.

Ahhh. The famous bent Mazda pinch welds. Your issue is not uncommon my friend. Happens all the time. Want to know the hot ticket? Go to a local welding shop or auto fabrication shop and ask them to put a 1" x 1" square tube about 8 or 10" long along that pinch weld. Do it in the middle. Do it on both sides. Race cars do this all the time. The are often called "jacking points". Cheap and will last forever. Remember to paint them so they don't rust.

What do you mean by do it in the middle? I guess I only need it at the side that it's broken...but 8" seem too long? I guess the idea is to make a new jacking point at the original place right? I would still like to use my scissor jack so I don't have to carry a floor jack around for emergency..
