What recalls should I know about?
Hi,
A few weeks ago I picked up a leftover 04 RX8 and am loving it!
I've searched all over and have not been able to find a comprehensive list of recalls and warranty issues.
Iv'e seen references to replacement headlights (mine are a little hazy, definitely not clear, not sure how bad they have to be), replacement oil dipsticks, screens to protect the AC condensor from rocks flying up, FLASH updates of course...
Can anyone point me to a list of 'must do' upgrades as well as optional upgrades before I schedule a visit to the dealer (local mazda dealer, not the one I bought the car from), so I don't sound totally clueless when I go over what needs to be done with them?
Also, unrelated, I have test driven 3-4 RX's and in every case, when the car was idling, it was difficult to tell if it was even running. The one I bought is noticeably louder/rougher. It had around 300 miles when I got it. Is this something the software updates will correct or anything I should worry about?
Thnks in advance!

first click that link and folow the link in the first post to a list of all of the tsb's and recalls(2). there is an announcement that says "read the sticky threads" of which that is one. a "search all over" should have led you to it.
as for the roughness. search for a thread about clearing the NVRAM and KAM. follow those procedures to see if that clears your roughness. if not ask your dealership about pcm updates and MAFS cleaning.
btw- 6sp or 4AT?

Thanks for the reply.
By 'searched all over' I should have been more specific - lot of google searches, none of which led to the site linked in the sticky (also found this message board).
Admittedly I didn't read every forum here else I'd have found the thread you pointed out, mea culpa
Looks like a slew of TSB's, wading through them trying to figure out what is a 'must do' vs a **** that might fall off.
The 04 I picked up is a red 6spd Touring package, cd changer, spoilers, appearance pkg, liking it a LOT!
