What is that noise around the blower fan motor area at 8000RPM?

What is that noise around the blower fan motor area at 8000RPM?
I know my 06 has it, the 09 R3 I test drove had it even worse. What is that noise? It just sounds like something is rattling. It's always around 8000 RPM

Yeah, I have it too. I've convinced myself that it's just the third intake ports opening up. It makes me happier to think that...

I actually get freaked out because it sounds like detontation, but then I feel better knowing the new R3 did it too

I'm guessing you're hearing the last set of intake ports opening.....but that's at about 6500 rpms...
