"What is green and coming out of my 8?" No that the car is fixed and the crisis is over, that sounds like a beginning of a good joke. Can someone come up with a punch line?

Good news. Maybe mine will fail and I can get the new dipstick :D
btw, I read yesterday that the seals in water pumps are made out of carbon. That might explain why you saw black in addition to the green drips when it was first starting.

Expo is lucky he is not near, but stroker could use a few good chokes......hardy har har.........they don't call me mantis because I want to hug you.....
Carbon eh? interesting . maybe the material is flurocarbon, which is pretty hard compared to buna rubber or viton.... Not as hard as teflon, but able to withstand a decent amount of pressure.... flurocarbon is a clear or black material but doesn't wear off being that is is pressurized.....funny visual on that though....
hydraulics.....and arts are my occupation so both carbons are covered.
She is running well. Still smell the coolant, but it could be overflowing after they installed the new pump.....thanks for the help everyone.....

uh yeah, I tried that too.....didn't work for me either. Good luck with the new pump. Tell me if you still smell coolant one week after the pump is replaced. I still am smelling it, but am hoping it's just overflow or excess that is burning off somewhere.......
