What exactly does Callifornia emissions do????
I just bought a 2006 RX8 in Massachusetts. It is equiped with CE3 emissions equipment. What exactly does that do to the car that is different from an RX 8 without CE3? Also, I am getting intake and midpipe (will the mid pipe eliminate the "catalytic converter clogging problem"?

The CE3 term is new to me. To the best of my knowledge, the only difference between 2005 Cali RX-8's other 2005 US RX-8's is the flash level software used to drive the engine computer (PCM). 2004 RX-8's were the same everywhere in the US.
2006 RX-8's would have the same software as the 2005's, I'd say.
