hey guys , myself and a friend are working on his rx8 and we want to turbo it, but he doesnt want a greddy kit, he wants us to make it a custom kit, i have made tons of turbo manifolds and ive looked and making one for an 8 wouldnt be hard,but now my question is on his stock motor, could be slap a small turbo on it and run 6-10 psi with out having to change lots? and if we need to change things or upgrade what should we be changing?

If you don't want to 'ghange much' you will just be imitating the Greddy, it's the simplest.....so why do it the hard way?

The Greddy gets you a manifold, an integrated wastegate and a midpipe that mates up to the stock exhaust - anything you weld together would not be simpler.

well he wanted to have something different and he didnt want to spend like 5 grand (canadian) on a greddy

 

i dont think its gonna be possible. Turbo = $$
