lately, when i start my car it idles kind of weird. it goes up and down from 1k to 3k. it only seems to do it after i get out of work when it's only been sitting for 6 hours or so. havent noticed it at all in the mornings when i first start it. anyone know what the deal is?

 

It should only idle high from the start and gradually idle lower as the engine warms up. Make sure that your car has the latest"M" flash. If your VIN # is in range.... Here is the bulletin :

Print it out and take it to the dealer.

 

1. Check air box for oil and a contaminated MAF sensor
2. Remove any aftermarket intake components or piggyback ECU's you may have.
3. Have a dealer (or anyone with an ammeter) check your front O2 sensor.
4. Just a shot in the dark, check your clutch and neutral switches. They provide input for idle speed control.
