Weird!!

Just wanted to share my mishap yesterday and see what some of you have to think about it.

I was driving from Sale Lake City down south to St. George, Utah and had to leave me car in some hick town!

After about 50 miles, I had to car in 5 gear passing people going about 80-85mph and when I went to shift into 6th (while in N) my oil pressure gauge dropped all the way, my oil light came on, check engine light and the battery light! But as soon as I put the car back into gear the pressure came back up and lights went off, popped it out and did it all over. So I pulled over checked my oil and to my surprise (oil was full) there was white at the bottom of the dipstick. Meaning water got in there. I checked the oil a few more times but couldn't get any more white. Even drove it around that hick town a bit to see what was up but white never returned and the weird pressure and lights never happened again.

As a precaution I left my car in a hotel parking lot. And rode the rest of the trip with some friends that were also going down.

Now here's what I think happened: The water in the oil was just at the wrong time, it was just condensation in the oil (is that possible?) and the lights came on because the ECU freaked out because of my new intake... also possible? The tech in St George thinks that's what it could be.

So my last question would be, do you think water in the oil could in the farthest stretch have anything to do with the non OEM intake?

Thanks for any replies!

-Guy

LOL Ok Ok , I had this same thing happen to me while I was going about 120-125+ but I came to the conclusion that the engine died!!!! and of course when you let the clutch out again the engine starts back up and your strait lol. I am atributing this to excessive hard driving at around 5-6k RPM and sudenely pushing the clutch in and the engine dosent recover as quick as when I had the stock intake exhaust on. So I dont do that anymore. No Oil issue

Doubtfully. the MS gauge kit has a Defi gauge for it, and if anyone knows the 8, MS does.

I've seen the milky residue in the oil before the first oil change and haven't seen it since. Never experienced the problem that you are refering to. Either way doesn't seem like a major thing, I'd moniter the car's behavior for awhile. Just to be safe.

It seems to me like the intake doesn't work as well unless you also do the exhaust. From the questions I have asked and the responses it seems like the people who are having issues with the intake don't have exhaust.

Also your car should not stall when it is at any good speed. This sounds very strange to me. I haven't seen it in any car I have had in the past and I have yet to experience it on this car.
