Exclamation WARNING - Screws fixing undertray get lost

A significant number of owners of the 8 have experienced that the screws by which the undertray is kept in place tend to loosen and to get lost.
As a consequence parts of the undertray can fall off and get lost and damaged, also causing damage to other parts of the car.
Obviously these screws are often not tightened properly on new cars.

Everybody is strongly recommended to control and proove the proper and tight fit of these screws!

What's an 'undertray'? Is it another place where you flick the ashes from your cigarette?

I will check it again. After I taken the bumper off last time to fix something. I lost 4 screw out of 10 in the undertray. The metal clip that hold the screw together is still there.

Therefore, all I need is some screw. And guess how much they are in Mazda.....

70 cents each :p

That guys said you cannot find any item in your 8 cheaper than that. So I brought a dozen :p

Mine came off at 85 mph on a road trip. Mazda declined to fix it. $158 part.
