KS Wanting to Pre Mix just need some input

Hey guys,

I have been reading the pre mix threads for some time now. I guess my question is say my average fill up is 11-12 gallons. How much idumitsu 2 stroke oil would be the appropriate amount? I have read 400/1 and 160/1. I just want a " in lamens terms" amount haha.

I use 3 to 4 ounces for every full tank since I have the OMP settings turned up with my current AccessPORT map.

I believe it has recommendations on the back of the bottle though.

FYI in the future you can figure this out via the following...

a 400/1 mixture would be the total amount of fluid 1 (12gal = 1536oz) divided by 400 to get the total amount of fluid 2

since you haven't touched the OMP settings, you can use more pre-mix.
try 4oz per tank, you should be fine.

I use Idemitsu in a Lucas Upper Cylinder Fuel Treatment bottle... It holds exactly 5.25oz, perfect amount to premix...

Don't worry about any special measuring dispenser. The Idemitsu bottle has a translucent scale on the side which is measured off in 4 ounce graduations. Before fueling, just pour a little in the tank at a time until you have poured in 4 ounces. Then, fill with fuel. A little oil more or less won't hurt anything, so don't over obsess about it.

Do be careful about the bottle cap seal. It is a light blue rubbery disk inside the top of the cap, which is supposed to adhere in place, but several times I've had it stick to the bottle and almost poured it in the tank. To be safe, just remove and discard it.

Any 2 stroke oil that's designed for motorcycle use will work. There are some oils that are catalytic converter friendly as well.
There are better and worse oils of course but the only one that gave me problems was castrol's old TTS.

I use a half ounce per gallon. Anywhere around 6 or so ounces each time.

6-8 ounces per full tank...anything less on OEM MOP settings and you are wasting your time.

Now get rid of the cat, and do the OMP adapter, and you'll be good to go!

I search rather than rehashing the same tired subject over again for the bazillionth time, including the epic novel thread where the exact same people made the exact same argument for the bazillionth time too.

just sayin' ...

What kind of problems? I recently started premixing with it, haven't noticed anything yet.
