buy either a catless midpipe or bang out the interior of the cat with a piece of steel and a hammer.

How much do you want to spend? This is really the only question that you need to ask yourself.

Well the cheap way would be to break out everything in your cat. But why waste a perfectly good cat by doing this.
You can usually find some midpipes in the FS section in your price range, just check it out.

if your cat is good and you decide to but it out, just send me 1k and save the trouble.

As people have said, the stock cat in working order isn't cheap. Buying a used race pipe is.

+1 You could find a catless midpipe for around $100 used if you search around. Don't gut your cat you might need it down the line and they are expensive! I have a highflow cat midpipe and shoot flames as well so you don't have to go catless.
