Vibrating on acceleration-

Hi all,

So the problem is, my car vibrates between 800 to around 1200 rpm, both in neutral and in the gears. So, whenever I accelerate from stop, it always gives me this heavy vibrating sound drrrrRRRRRRrrr~ but after that everything is smooth as silk. It goes the same way whenever I'm braking or slowing down (while the rpm is going down to around 1200 to 800.) The idle is totally fine, especially when the first time turning on the car (2k rpm) aside of the "weird 8's sound" which I think is normal.

** It's '04 MT 68,xxx miles for your info

After doing some research here, I might get the idea of what's going on:
1. loose plug/wire
2. bad coils
3. or engine mount (my VIN is actually on that range but I'm out of warranty now)

Well, I need some opinions on what else might be the cause of the problem and what should I take care of first. I'm currently saving money for my master degree so I'm kind of in budget :D :D :D But yeah, guess I'll spend whatever my 8 urges :P

Thank you all!!!

Lol, ty

Ordered new NGK spark plugs, OEM coils and wire, will post the result after installing them.
Hoping the engine mount is OK

keep us posted. my vote goes towards a faulty engine mount, though the plugs, wires, and coils are never a bad thing to replace!

How much do you have to pay for the engine mount? Are getting an OEM one or aftermarket? How about the labor? I need to get prepared :P

Anyway, coils, spark, etc haven't arrived yet, I'll keep you guys updated for the result

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but when you're decelerating in gear isn't the fuel cut? Therefore there should not be any spark involved.. which means this is probably not related to spark/ignition. I'd say the motor mount is probably the culprit.

It's cut, but not to zero. The engine has to continue to idle.

-_____- I was like really happy when I saw the price BUT they actually split the right and left side. I've seen some post about aftermarket mounts, anybody got info on these?

Mazsport has some custom mounts, but they move the engine back in the bay. This was to make room for their turbo kits.
I haven't heard of anyone else.

I don't think warranty covers rattle, doesn't it? But as long as you are under warranty, there is nothing wrong to have them check it out, you don't have to pay a penny for that :D

Rx8Phase: Nice man!! Enjoy your "new" car! lol
