Varying Idle at Stratup

When its cold -10C or below my engine will jump between 750 and 2000 RPM until it warms up a bit, then it runs like normal. Anyone else have the same issue (or fix) or is this normal? I have an 04 with an AEM CAI. Thanks.

I'm live here in phoenix, I started to have that same issue on my ride were it kind of sound like a bridgeport, were the idle isnt constant and will jump to 2000 down to 750. Until the car is warmed up or unless I give it a quick rev after 5min. I do know neighbors would hate this of the sound of the engine reving up and around 4am in the morning . I wish i could help u but I really woudnt know
Weather conditions. About 60-80 degress in the morning
Mods.? Catless exhaust

this is very normal in cold weather. I'm sure if you read through the Canada forum, you'll find this question is asked a lot

It should drop to about 1500 and then down to normal as the car warms up, but mine jumps over 2500 on days its really really cold...

Exactly what i was looking for, thanks. And it has only stalled once, thankfully it started right back up, no flooding, but it was damn cold that day.

Stalled by itself while in neutral or with the clutch fully disengaged?

jump ups and downs when its cold out means your tranny's neutral switch is stuck (freeze up)

warm it up a bit and the problem will go away, or replace it with an updated part.
