Valvoline Engine Guarantee - You Use

I bring this up becuase I am enrolled in the Engine Guarantee program by using Valvoline. I am currently covered up to 150k. It covers all lubricated parts , seals etc. If you are about to run out of the 100k warranty it might be a thing to look at. You don't have to go to a Valvoline center to have it done, just buy the oil and register your oil changes online. Has anyone enrolled and/or had a claim filed yet?

There are three different oils they cover. Go to their website.

Highly doubt this would cover side seal shrinkage or apex seal failure.

Just failure directly connected to the oil system where having bad oil would cause the problem...

I have no info to back this up but that sounds about right.

there are so many "catches"

one of them is : you have to use what Manufacture recommends.

so that means 5w20.

another thing is that you have to change ur oil religiously at 3K, with no more than 1K in between (so the max to go for is 4K per change). our engine probably dies b4 that happens (oil all burnt out)

300K even 150K is out of reach for most owners. to me these guarantee is just complete waste of time, some people who drive across the country all the time might be able to take advantage of this "deal," other than that ...

Put the car on jack stands and leave it in first gear with a brick on the pedal!!!

Then when you are done put it in reverse and take it back to 0!
