Question US specification versus EU specification / hp and torque

It seems that the Euro version does have less horses AND less torque in comparison to the US version too. Does anybody know what they did to the engine? Is it just a matter of chiptuning or did they put different hardware (resonaters, exhaust or whatever) into the cars?

A french journalist said that the exhaust is different because
the Euro version is less noisy than the US version .
So less hp and less torque...

And also less sound. How sad. Well - back to the roots! I cleared the exaust of my first motocycle 20 years ago and so I will again yeappeeeee:D

thats funny seeing as how they dont have as strict emissions standards as we do.
