Tyres recommendation

I heard that the factory Bridgestone tyres are very hard on the road and when they are new, they make a strange noise, whereas, other brand tyres, like Michelin, Yokohama, etc. are much better choice. Any opinions on that?

Do NOT get Toyo, they're good at traction but VERY VERY easy to break, especially sidewall.

If you're area snows, get Bridgestone RE 960 AS Pole Position.

IF no snow at all, Get RE-01 or RE-050A or RE-070A, it should be enough for daily use and tracks.

I have a set of Avon Tech M550 A/S (all season) tire and I love them. Have had them on for about a year and they're hardley even worn down. Good traction, easy ride. I got em a TireRack.com, they've got all the specs on there as well.

I've had nothing but good experiences with my Toyo T1-S. Not sure what nycpgs is referring to with "easy to break". I think the sidewalls are a little soft, but that also means the ride comfort is a little better, but not soft enough to affect my driving style.

Check this thread, it discusses a few different tires: Kumho, Toyo, BF Goodrich, and Yokohamas.
