Angry Transmission Question!!!

Ok, to start I have 2004 RX8 6-speed. I got it back in March and as far as I know and have been told it had a new clutch put in it about 4 months or so before I got it. Last night I pulled out on to a road in 1st gear and layed into it, went to grab 2nd gear and it grinded on me like I missed my shift (now mind you I've never had a problem out of this car at all). At first I thought I might have missed a shift, but I was like naw couldn't have, just had to been a rare occurence. Drove home and no problems or anything. Then about 3-4 hours later I got hungry, so decided to go get something to eat, drove fine, but I noticed 2nd gear not feeling good when I shifted into it. Got to the drive through, ordered my food and went to put it into gear to pull around and it wouldn't go into 1st (like the gate wouldn't open)! Tried 2nd and it wouldn't take either, at this point I was getting angry, put it 3rd gave it gas and pulled around, while rolling I was able to slip it into 1st stopped at the window, went to put it into neutral and it wouldn't come out of 1st. Now I really got irritated. Rolled forward, got onto the main road and shifted out of 1st ok once I was rolling and went into 2nd, but the shift from 1st to 2nd felt really gritty! Got it home and got up this morning to come to work, put it in reverse and backed out into the road and it wouldn't take 1st again, so I put it in 3rd, rolled out and it would take 1st from a roll. I also noticed that normally when you try to go into 1st at too high of a speed it grinds because of the lockout, but now, it will go into 1st at any speed with no force, it just acts gritty like the shift from 1st to 2nd. Has anyone else experienced this? My first thought of course being the clutch, but they said it was new and noticed no problems in any other gear, just 1st and 2nd, so I'm wondering if I could be losing a Synchro or if maybe the shift house or gate could be wore out. It only has 65,000 miles on it, so that didn't very likely. I'm leaning more towards a Synchro.

Check all the usual things before you throw in the transmission towel:

1. Transmission fluid level (is it flush with the xmission top fill hole?). Perhaps time for new fluid (e.g. Redline MT90).
2. Clutch hydraulic fluid level (possibly not getting clutch disengagement?).
3. Clutch bracket flex (have the spot welds failed and you're not getting full throw on the slave cyclinder?)

It could also be a shift fork break.

I did not check the fluids, will do that when it stops raining out. Guess if that's not it I'll be taking it to the dealer and hope the extended warranty covers it!

sounds like a clutch issue honestly...maybe they only replaced the clutch plate but not the pressure plate?

how does your actual clutch feel? Make sure your clutch pedal bracket is not bending or busted. This is a common flaw on the 8.

Clutch feels fine, just like it has ever since I've had it. It's all in the shifter, That's the only place I feel it or hear any difference than normal!

Wow....really? Thanks for being a smartass, you can dissappear now!

Please only serious things only, I really need help with this. I work for a tractor company, so I can not take off right now and the only dealership is an hour and 45 minutes away, so I'm kind of stuck between what to do!
