Transmission problems...again...

Transmission problems...again...
I thought last time was bad. This time was worse........
I took the car to moroso last week. Wheel hop from hell, but it didn't seem like there was an immediate problem. I short shifted into second and finished my pass.....
It wasn't until I went to pull away from the timeslip booth that I became aware of the damage.....
1st gear was gone. Completely destroyed. Just grinds a bit or throws the shifter out of the gear completely. Of course, reverse is gone with 1st, and there isn't much of 2nd gear left either. It grinds if you try to put it in 2nd while the car is in motion. My 5th gear synchros had started to go a couple of weeks ago, but that's a separate issue.
I took it to a different dealership this time. Seems like I may have gotten the shaft (duh) from the dealership that did the overhaul last time my tranny went. According to the service manager at this new dealership, they never should've overhauled it in the first place. The tranny should've been replaced, and it should've been a warranty claim.
It looks like this time I may have found a sympathetic service department, and it's likely this will be covered. Depending on what we find when the tranny is torn down again, I may even have a small shot at getting my money back from the first rebuild.
Oh, and this is the interesting part........The're going to let me know when the tear down the tranny, so I might be able to get pics of the damage. I'll post them here if I manage to get them.
