Which tranny fluid for cold climate?

Hey all,

When I bought my 6spd RX8 I noticed it was a little sticky and often "clicks" going into third while cold. I read up on here and found that everyone liked Redline MT90 so I switched to that. Now it sucks even worse when cold. Also, I plan on winter driving my car and am scared to think how choppy the tranny will be when its freezing cold. I imagine many of you who are recommending MT90 are living in much warmer climates than me.

Is there a better fluid for my climate?

The Eneos from BHR is better in cold weather than redline.

well it certainly feels well used but I don't see any reason to replace it when it's not actually grinding. On really hot days it drives fine but we haven't had many of those this year. That's why I'm wondering if its the fluid, ie if it drives fine when warm and when the fluid is at its thinnest then perhaps a thinner fluid would give better cold performance.

FTFY.

I just picked up some of this as well for myself and a friend. Call me a fanboi, but BHR hasn't steered me wrong yet.

I had a look at BHR's site and that Eneos oil sounds like it might do the trick. Worth a try I suppose.

Got the Eneos put in there and have been running it for about 800km. Really great stuff and has pretty much eliminated my third gear issues.
