Tranny break-in period?

After a month at the dealership, my car is finally safe with me. Two rebuilds later, they couldn't get it to shift properly. They finally gave me a new tranny. So my question is:

Is there a break-in period for a new transmission?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

there really isn't a break in procedure for transmission. but just don't go wild on the clutch. the clutch needs to actually "break" in. just like fresh brakes, the clutch needs similar treatment when brand new.

just change the fluid out after about 3-5k miles. this way all the casting burrs will be cleaned out.
