toyosport manifold sound

Hi
I have an 2008 231 rx8 at tit seems it has a toyosport exhaust installed.

Under load the exhaust sounds really bad, almost like it is leaking, but there is no leak.

I have looked up toyosport and it seems they are really cheap, I have also noticed that the manifold is not the best fit.

Calling on the more experienced modders, do you think this cheap manifold is making my rx8 sound bad?
The noise is really tinny.

Thanks

Antony

What sounds bad to one person sounds like music to another. You will have to define what "bad" means to you.

Ideally, a video or audio clip of the sound rather than trying to describe sounds in text.

It sounds like a airy blowing/whoosing sound.

Thanks

First confirm at every single connection point (block, end of header, end of midpipe, around O2 sensors, etc...) that you do not have an exhaust leak from any of them. If you do not, then yes, it is the exhaust gas flow within the piping that is making the sound, and the only option to solve it is to replace the parts with other parts that are not designed the same way.

I have checked and double checked for leaks and there are none, I am looking at an OEM manifold on the car.

Thanks
