Tire Pressure Warning
Tire Pressure Warning
My tire pressure warning light has been coming on for 2 days straight, even though the tire pressure is fine. Car is at the dealer now for diagnosis.
Also getting 1st oil change (1500 mi.) and the M flash
Can't wait to get it back!

Nope. Dealer called and said tires were over-inflated. Weird since when I checked it, 3 tires were 32 psi and 1 was 30 psi. But he said the light did not come on after pressure correction and test drive.
Oil change is done and flashed! Going to pick it up this afternoon. I am anxious to see if the flash really does anything noticeable.

I had the light on when I picked up my car from the dealership. I found they were at 42 psi per tire. I dropped them to 32 psi per the book and the light stayed on. I inflated them to 38 psi per tire and the light has not come on since. Just in FYI. I think the light comes on below 32 psi and above 40 psi but I am just speculating.
If the tire pressure light is blinking, it means that the car is not getting a signal from the sensors. If it stays on, then the pressure is wrong. I had so much trouble with the TPMS that the dealers have to replace both the unit in the car and the sensors in the wheels. For some reason they said there wasnt a signal. But its fixed now
After going back to the dealers 5 times!

The technician said that 2 tires were over-inflated and 2 tires were under-inflated setting off the sensor. I check the pressure and the tires were fine. Anyway, at least the light does not come on anymore.
The PCM flash is very noticeable. When the car shifts from 1st to 2nd gear, the rpm's don't drop as much as before and there is much more power.

Just a quick note... I swear I read something in the manual about the sensor not resetting itself until you reach a certain speed. Meaning, simply changing the pressure won't make the light go off. Ya gotta drive it first. I think..
Good info on how our TPMS works can be found in the Tire Pressure Monitoring System Service Tips service bulletin.
