Timing Problem ?????

Hay guys... I got a new A Gen Cy Power pully for my 8 today and put it on... Everything is all good and fine with the install however, I got a CEL for P0302 Cyl. 2 Misfire detected... Now when I installed the pulley I noticed that I spun the crank when I was trying to take off the bolts that hold the pulley on.. Did this mess the timing up some how?? and if so... How do I check the timing and correct it?? any help would be nice... Thanks..

Cool I think....

I think you just pull the battery cable off, to make the ECU forget the screwed-up timing setting, and set a new one.

Cool Sticky....

We should both have consulted the sticky thread in the Tech section - "How to reset the ECU"

Link

MazdaManiac posted the reset procedure.

OK I fixed it.... After Crank is moved from its possition the computer sensors need to be reset... the KAM the 20 presses on the brake did the trick...
