Throwing a weird code.

Sorry, I dont have the exact code because I had it checked at autozone and the guys there are dumbasses.
All he told me was the code was "161" and it read "low circuit intake manifold"

I need to pass emissions eventually and have no clue what the **** this means haha. Car seems to run perfectly.

On another note, if I get a Cobb Accessport can I pass emissions by fooling the ECU?

P0161? That would be your rear O2 sensor.

This is probably the code, if the term used is correct:
P-0661N intake manifold tuning valve control circuit low bank 1

Do some searching for the P0661 code and see what fixes are available. Looks like maybe a connector cleaning is all you need. Possibly a cat failure.

The COBB can mask CELs, yes. It doesn't mask them by default however, you will need someone to customize the flash to mask the correct CELs. And it doesn't do anything against an actual sniffer test.

That doesn't tell me much. But if you mean P0037, that is also your second O2. Do you have a catless midpipe?

No I actually just got an OEM midpipe last year that only had like 16k miles on it. Damn i feel like I'm giving you guys bad info. I'll have to find someone with an OBDII to hook it up to my car again.

Could be a bad cat then. Bad rear O2's are pretty rare. But they are cheap so if it needs to be replaced it's no biggie.

if i remember right my car threw a 37 code when my rear o2 heater went bad. (sensor worked and gave readings...just the heater circuit stopped working right (i believe i remember checking continuity and it was open loop when i checked it). I replaced the sensor and the code went away.

Ooooo... I see...

I'd go to a different autozone and look at the scan gauge while he does it. It should give a description of the failure on the OBDII reader.

Autozones around here scan your codes and then go inside and print you out a receipt for each code, I thought they all did that.

Well the car currently doesn't have any wheels so it might be a little difficult getting to autozone haha. I'm trying to convince one of my lazyass friends to go to my place in the burbs (since I live in downtown chicago) to read my codes.
I'll keep you all updated.
