Throttle Adjustment

Seeing how the Rx8 gas pedal is all electronic and such unlike my 3000GT thats cable ran. Is there anyway i can adjust my idle to be a little higher without messing with the ECU or anything?

Maybe adjusting the pedal to not come out as far or anything such as a potentiometer i can adjust or anything?

Easiest way is with the Accessport. I know of no other adjustments that can be made. It's all electronic.

What do you see as the possible benefit of this?

The Possible Benefits will be that my car wont idle so hard right now.. Feels like its dropping to low or shuddering and its either idling to hard right now or the Borla Exhaust is causing it.

Wouldn't it be stupid to cure the effect and not the cause? Doing some search for rough idles might help a lot for depending on your car's miles etc you can find the exact cause.

well, even I wouldnt mind a slightly higher idle, even though my car runs perfectly fine. idle is smooth, but another 100 -150 rpms would be nice

Yes but a rough idle might mean a tons of things that an electronical adjustment will not cure.
Before doing anything to a car we have to be sure that it is in perfect conditions.

well either way, the question has been answered. no throttle cable, so it's got to be done electronically

if your car is idling rough, it is most likely a bad motor mount or it's the A/C cycling on.
What year is your car?

does it do that with the A/C on and off?
Mine's an 05 M/T and I experienced similar symptoms related to a bad motor mount. I got it replaced under warranty, which is why I bring it up

The only thing 100 rpms will do you is burn more gas. Fix the problem...not the symptom.

i think that is normal for the 8's if the drop down they will get a little rough mine does it every once and awhiel but the accessport is the only way (that i know of) to change idle speed!
