Tech CD info and engine output - DYNO
I am not a mechanic but I listened to the Tech CD on Engine. It describes the only difference between the standard and high power engine is air intake. Interestingly the intake is automated to open at speeds all around the 6000 rpm mark and where it seems that much of the discussion on this topic has lead to. Do you suppose that there is something to do with the function of these?
Listen to the section on engine and see what you think. Note the RPM points before the ports open and the air charger thing kicks in.

Right, the number of intakes and the dynamic valve that controls these operating at specific RPM plateaus. I just spoke to my father who is a mechanic and he (his opinion after sharing info on forum) is thinking that either the cars controllers for these features are off in some way (could be due to computer control) or the engine is working as designed irregardless of claimed HP. Wouldn't the dyno output be normal for the auto version without the extra airi ntakes?
except the low power auto transmission setup redlines at 7500 or thereabout. and the peak T would be higher. and you can clearly see the Tertiary ports opening(or partially opening?) on the dyno graphs.
