is it possible to take the catalytic converter out and just put a straight pipe through for my exhaust?

that's not anywhere close to the same as not running a cat

it's because of selfish POS dumb@sses with this kind of mentality that the world is so f'd up to begin with

you don't even know the difference between whining and the bald faced truth, classic

A quote by the great rotarygod:

"Everytime someone tells me that global warming is manmade, I go outside and let my catless rotary idle senselessly for 2 hours. I hate the cold."

Remove the cat, lean out the AF mix for better fuel economy, improve emissions, add a turbo to capture some of that otherwise wasted heat energy. Save the planet with boost. I kid, I kid.

apparently, you don't need to pull your cat converter to be shooting meaningless BS out your tail pipe

you have a long way to go before schooling anyone on the RX-8, let alone me

I gave up running in a certain class where the car couldn't win and moved back to a class where it could, the mods weren't allowed there

if that somehow negates all the uncharted territory that I forged through then so be it

however, I'd be cautious about who you take on to play the f-ck you game with. I'm just as good at tracking down people as I am trick mod parts nobody here ever heard of

we'll see who whines the loudest when you get slapped with a federal fine ...

I dont think he is worried about global warming in this argument, but more about health risks being catless (to you and people around you). Such as carbon monoxide (which you will be breathing in, displacing oxygen in your blood, but not know it bc you cant smell or taste it) and nitrogen oxides.

I'm done here, I jsut think this is the problem team and most people have with it.

It's funny how some of us older folks survived driving cars before emissions equipment were required. I guess I should ether be dead or in an oxygen tent.

for daily driving I have a high flow cat and jerry riged exhaust system but when I go to the race track ( whether it be infineon or button willow) I hook up my 3.5 inch straight pipe so my turbo can be free lol. Am I gonna go to EPA hell as well?

not as many cars on the road either. also, major cities have definitely changed their air quality since the 70s and 80s. i know athens used to be so bad you couldnt breathe at times, now its not bad at all. that is definitely due to the EU emissions laws. im sure the story is the same for all major cities in the USA: LA, DC, NYC, Chicago..

things like asthma and mental disabilities are on the rise, many researchers believe it is due to the increased pollutants in the air. if we hadnt done anything about the emissions a lot of us would be in very bad health. its a very large step backwards when somebody removes their emissions equipment.

do you do anything to compensate for that? plant a tree every year? donate money to wildlife funds?
