suggestions on car upgrades

Ok i would first of all like to state that i know running a turbo or a super charger isn't cheap. Thats why im asking for suggestions on what to do. i have about a grand to spend if needed i can wait a month or two and have closer too 6 if needed. But, like most people, i hate waiting. The general idea is that i want to gain hp and torque, for as cheap as possible, i have read that NO2 would be the way to go, but i have not found very many threads on it. So should i wait and save and buy something like a pettit supercharger or should i buy some kind of no2 kit. And if no2, what kit should i get and is it worth going with a wet kit or is a dry kit work just as good.

As a added note i don't need power constantly its for those once a week situations down at the drag strip. also i do know a bit about my car, so basically i'm just a step above and idiot about my car so please, as the saying goes if you don't have anything nice to say just don't post any new comments.

The biggest bang for your buck for the weekend dragster is a V8 swap seriously.

Swap the car with a mustang. At the moment you've got the wrong tool for the wrong application. Making this car worth drag racing requires a lot of money and it still won't be as fast as other cars.
With 6000$ you can make a pretty damn fun track day rx8 but driving outside a straight line requires... driving.

ya, i thought of getting a mustang, but i do go to the drift track. Also mustangs where i live are a dime a dozen. So the question still persists what to do, what to do?

Get the mustang, you can tune the suspension for drift too and the higher torque helps for breaking rear traction.
