BC a strange question

I am on Mazdatrcuking.com and a member there posted this:

b2600i with RX8 LSD rear end? NEED HELP
I told him that I dont think a RX8 rear Diff would be as strong as a Mazda truck or Van rear Diff. My view is that the RX8 is designed to go fast, and not designed for any sort of abuse ie: 4x4ing, hauling, towing etc. all the things we do with a truck..

So I figure that you guys would know best..

WOULD a RX8 rear diff handle the abuse that a Mazda truck would throw at it..

That truck is a solid rear end. The rx8 has independent rear end. It would take a massive amount of custom fabrication to make it work.

the Rx8 is an 8" ring gear and i think the truck is something different, so it won't interchange in the first place.

Hmmm I never though of looking at it from that perspective...

But I've deleted my posts in that thread anyways.. Going to ignore them and let him figure out that it isn't going work.. WHEN he comes whining that it broke, I'll just chuckle..
